About Evesham Township, NJ
Evesham Township is a township located in Burlington County, New Jersey. A suburb of Philadelphia, Evesham was originally settled by Quakers in 1672; the township derived its name either from the town in England, or for prominent settler Thomas Eves. The township was originally called Eversham, although the “r” was lost over the years. The township was formally incorporated by the New Jersey legislature in 1798. Originally much larger in area, portions of the township have been taken over the years to form many of the surrounding municipalities. Largely a rural community up until the 1950s, Evesham experienced rapid growth through post-war housing developments.

In many cases, you will be released to go home to await trial; however, you will be subject to various conditions, such as not being arrested for any new criminal offenses, maintaining employment, or submitting to random drug testing.
