Over a three-day period in September, nine (9) individuals were taken into custody by the Trenton Police Department for their alleged involvement in a prostitution ring. According to representatives from the Trenton Police Department, authorities received multiple complaints about prostitution activity in the city. Authorities said that the illegal activity was “blatant” and apparent. Under the direction of Detective Lt. John Breece, Trenton police quickly took action to stop the activity.Several individuals were taken to jail and charged with prostitution, including 20-year-old Allison Murray, 44-year-old Julian C. Standing-Elk, 49-year-old Lisa Houseton, 26-year-old Marissa Shanko, 24-year-old Lauren Shingola, and 28-year-old Shadon D. White. Additionally, 30-year-old Darren J. Kmetz has been charged with obstructing the administration of law, conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was reportedly wanted on other unrelated active warrants.It is unclear whether any of these individuals have hired a criminal defense attorney yet.
