Defendant was charged by the State of New Jersey and indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on 2nd degree Graves Act offenses of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (handgun) and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, and 3rd degree Possession of CDS w/ Intent to Distribute.

Result

Mr. Davis filed a Motion to Suppress the evidence recovered as a result of the defendant's motor vehicle stop at a DUI/DWI checkpoint in Robbinsville, NJ; and, after a testimonial hearing and oral argument against the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, the Court agreed to suppress all evidence as tainted fruit of the poisonous tree. The State then moved to dismiss the indictment.

Defendant was charged by the United States of America and indicted by a federal grand jury in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, on two separate counts of Conspiracy to Engage in Sex Trafficking of Children, and Conspiracy to Transport Minors to Engage in Prostitution.

Result

Mr. Davis tried the case against the United States Attorney's Office and obtained a not-guilty verdict on all counts from the jury.

Mr. Davis's insistence on the weakness of the State's case, as well as its lack of credible proofs, resulted in the State dismissing the Indictment on the first day of jury selection.
