Defendant was charged and indicted by a Mercer County Grand Jury on, among other things, two counts of 1st degree Felony Murder under N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(3), one count of 1st degree Murder under N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(2), two counts of 1st degree Armed Robbery under N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, two counts of 1st degree Kidnapping under N.J.S.A. 2C:13-1b, one count of 1st degree Carjacking under N.J.S.A. 2C:15-2, one count of and 2nd degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose under N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a.

Result

Mr. Davis tried the case before a jury and obtained a hung verdict on all counts [as to his client only].

Defendant was charged and indicted by a Mercer County Grand Jury on one count of 1st degree Conspiracy to Commit Human Trafficking under N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2C, four counts of 1st degree Human Trafficking under N.J.S.A. 2C:13-8A(1), two counts of 2nd degree Facilitating Human Trafficking under N.J.S.A. 2C:13-9A(1), three counts of 3rd degree Promoting Prostitution under N.J.S.A. 2C:34-1b(2), one count of 2nd degree Promoting Organized Street Crime under N.J.S.A. 2C:33-30, and one count of 3rd degree Witness Tampering under N.J.S.A. 2C:28-5(a).

Result

Prior to trial, Mr. Davis obtained a dismissal of the entire indictment against his client.

Defendant was charged by the State of New Jersey and indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on charges of 2nd degree Graves Act Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (handgun) and 2nd degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose.

Result

Prior to trial, Mr. Davis reached a negotiated disposition with the Prosecutor's Office that resulted in the Court finding defendant not guilty by reason of temporary insanity.

Defendant was charged in Ewing Township with being in Possession of CDS and Possession of Hypodermic Needles while riding as a passenger in a parked motor vehicle.

Result

Mr. Davis filed a Motion to Suppress the seized evidence based on the officers' failure to establish a heightened awareness of danger sufficient to justify removal of passengers from motor vehicles in the State of New Jersey. After the suppression hearing, the Presiding Municipal Judge of Mercer County granted defendant's motion and suppressed all evidence recovered from the motor vehicle.
